Michael Allen is one of the South’s most sought after award winning professional photographers. Fun, easy going, down to earth, every person Michael photographs loves his style and stealthy approach to capturing beautiful moments. His artistic nature shows in every shot he takes. Michael is married with 3 kids. His wife Janice is his partner, and an award winning highly accomplished hairstylist.

Together they owned one of the most successful salons in the South, Eston Salon for over 20 years. Now they have created their own hair care line, Laveii which sells nationwide online. Together Michael and Janice travel with Southern Bride Magazine to exotic locations in the South, from Key West to Puerta Vallarta Mexico. They have traveled to the Carolinas, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas and Tennessee, shooting weddings and the fashion pages of the magazine. They have been shooting for Southern Bride for over 9 years, and Michael has been published in magazines, books and blogs worldwide.

They are experts in both the photography and bridal industry, and have worked with some of the worlds best wedding designers, including Colin Cowie, and such designers as Ellen Hunter NYC, Angela Mazanti, Angela Dacus and many more. Michael has written 3 books about photography, and is a feature article writer for Southern Bride Magazine. Michael has photographed people from all walks of life, from famous doctors, authors, musicians and more. He’s photographed Dierks Bentley, Lauren Alaina, Leigh Anne Tuohy, Tim Howard, Los Temerarios, Bruce Carroll, Ginny Owens, Drew Holcomb, and more in his commercial career.
