Walmart Soundcheck Sessions
Professional Photographer Michael Allen. Working in Nashville is always an amazing experience. For this shoot I photographed Dierks Bentley live at The Ryman in Nashville for Walmart Soundcheck's feature artist promotion. Walmart is one of the worlds top record sellers, way up on the list with itunes, Amazon and more. Video Production Memphis - Avarice Film - Memphis Indie Films One of our current film projects in production now is called Avarice. Here are a few still photographs shot by Michael Allen for a new short film shot in Memphis. Special thanks to Rachel Taylor, Dan Baker, Paul Skidmore and our leading lady, Haley Parker. Michael was the cinematographer for the film, shooting on a Canon 5d Mark II HDDSLR. The film is slated to be released in the fall of 2011. Photography by Michael Allen. Dan Baker is the producer and Rachel Taylor is the director. We are really excited to be a part of this project!

Michael Allen offers HD Cinema Films & Photography: Avarice- Behind the scenes on the new short film with the cast and crew. Michael was the cinematographer working alongside director of photography Paul Skidmore, producer Dan Baker and writer-director Rachel Taylor. The film is slated to debut in the summer of 2011. The film stars Haley Parker, who has recently landed scenes in a new Sundance Film Festival film. Avarice tells the story of a young girl who gets caught up in chasing a mysterious light through the forest and discovers an enchanted world with some twists and turns. Indie Film Productions - Memphis
Indie Film Productions - Memphis Over the years I've worked on many many production sets, from award winning local indie films to music videos, to documentaries and business reels. As an indie film maker, I get to multitask at many roles, from cinematographer, lighting director, director of photography, assistant photographer, camera operator, still photographer, producer, executive producer, writer and production scouting. To work in small productions with just a few support members, to working on a team with 30 people, it's all an amazing adventure. Here's a still from a new local indie film that I had the role of shooting stills, and as the digital camera assistant cinematographer. The movie will be previewing at the Indie Memphis Film Festival this winter, and will show nationwide at Comicon. ARV-3 is a sci fi apocalyptic romance, with lots of adventure, and high adrenaline scenes, produced by the team at Timid Monster and Dan Baker. I've worked with Dan for the past 6 years on several of his films. I also got a chance to work side by side with Ryan Earl Parker, who is one of the up and coming film makers of the South.

Video Film Production Living in Memphis I get to shoot a lot of indie films/ Most of the time I work as the first unit cinematographer, but I chose to work on the Timid Monster set as the 1st camera assistant for this sci fi film, I worked hand in hand getting the camera set up and ready for the director of photography, Ryan Earl Parker. I wanted a chance to work with Ryan, and it was an action packed few days of shooting in this abandoned warehouse, the Tennessee Brewery. I've shot another film there recently, Avarice, and worked as the still photographer for a Walmart Soundcheck music video last year. Between takes I worked as the unit still photographer for Timid Monster Films, capturing the cast and crew working behind the scenes and on takes. I love this shot of our leading actress as she's captured on a scene taking a quick break.
